Yutaro Yamada's Teapots Utilizing the Characteristics of Tokoname Ware

Yutaro Yamada's teapots are characterized by sophisticated designs that value the tradition of Tokoname ware while incorporating a modern sensibility. The moment you pick one up, you'll be surprised by its lightness and precision. The light and thinly crafted teapot offers an astonishingly comfortable fit, and its familiar feel in the hand is as if it were an extension of your own hand.

Yutaro Yamada's teapots feature a exquisite blend of practicality and beauty. The shape of the spout, the placement of the handle, and the comfortable feel with every use give his works a special appeal. These are works that are beautiful to look at, and their charm is further enhanced when you actually hold them.

Tokoname ware is known for its red clay and highly permeable glaze. Yutaro Yamada utilizes this Tokoname red clay, cherishing the warmth that emerges from the earth. Using this clay, his teapots convey a warmth that allows you to truly relax when you hold them. The simple texture inherent in the clay and the soft quality visible after firing envelop the user.

Furthermore, Yutaro Yamada has developed his own unique glazes, maximizing the characteristics of Tokoname ware glazes while incorporating new sensibilities. As a result, his teapots exude a captivating luster and possess a beautiful texture that seems to stop time. The glossy brilliance of the glaze allows you to feel its beauty with every use.
