Characteristics of Kasumi Fujimura's Works

Pottery artist Kasumi Fujimura, based in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture, creates her works with the desire to make "utensils" that can be used extensively in daily life and are always close at hand.

The distinctive beauty of Kasumi Fujimura's works lies in the striking contrast between her pure white "utensils" and her bronze-colored "utensils." The white "utensils" are crafted with the idea of "matching any dish," featuring simple and elegant designs that enhance the food. On the other hand, the bronze plates were born from a request at a local izakaya and are appealing for their rustic color, suitable for everyday use.

Common to both series is Kasumi Fujimura's warm desire for users to "incorporate them into their daily lives and use them without hesitation."
