A Shigaraki Ware Rinka Plate, Shaped Like a Petal, to Adorn Your Dining Table

The "Rinka Plate Medium, Tetsusan" from Furutani Seitojo is a Shigaraki ware rinka plate designed to beautify your dining table with its petal-like shape. Made from red clay coated with white slip, the black speckles called "tetsusan" (iron flecks) that appear during firing create a rustic and warm texture.

The elegant petal-shaped design will add a touch of glamour to your dining table. Its size is perfect for one-plate meals or main dishes.

The gentle white of the kohiki (powder glaze) blends well with any dish, enhancing its colors. Furthermore, due to its handmade nature, there are individual differences, such as black speckles called "tetsusan" and orange spots called "gohonde," allowing you to enjoy the unique character of each piece.

By placing food in the center and leaving some space, the petals can create a splendid presentation that enhances the dish. Additionally, the slightly raised rim allows you to serve dishes with some liquid without worry.

The Rinka Plate Medium is available in three colors: the gentle white of kohiki with "Tetsusan," the antique-style "Sabi Yu" (rust glaze), and the gray "Gray Yu" (gray glaze) whose color appears differently depending on the angle. You can compare them before purchasing.

Furutani Seitojo's stylish plates are sure to add color to your everyday dining table.

*As each item is handmade, there may be slight individual differences.
