Artist: Yutaro Yamada - Modern Teapots Utilizing the Characteristics of Tokoname Ware

Born in 1982 in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, a region known for its long history of teapot production. His family also ran a pottery business. In 2010, he graduated from the Ceramic Arts Department of Tokoname High School. In 2014, he studied architecture at Daido University, moving away from pottery. He later took a job but soon returned to the world of pottery. In 2017, he completed his studies at the Tokoname Tou no Mori Ceramic Art Institute. At the same time, he became independent as an artist specializing in tea ceremony utensils such as teapots, separate from his family business.
