The shape of the spout, the placement of the handle, and the comfortable feel you experience each time you use it all give his works a special charm. These are pieces that are beautiful to look at, and their appeal is further enhanced when you actually hold them.
Tokoname ware is known for its red clay and highly translucent glazes. Yutaro Yamada utilizes this Tokoname red clay, valuing the warmth that emanates from the earth. Using this clay, his teapots convey a warmth that allows you to truly relax when you hold them. The rustic texture inherent in the clay and the soft quality visible after firing envelop the user.
Furthermore, Yutaro Yamada has developed his own unique glazes, maximizing the characteristics of Tokoname ware glazes while incorporating new sensibilities. As a result, his teapots possess a captivating luster and a beautifully timeless texture. The glossy sheen of the glaze allows you to appreciate its beauty every time you use it.
