Characteristics of Kasumi Fujimura's Work

Kasumi Fujimura is a ceramic artist based in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture. She creates her "tableware" with the desire that it be used frequently in daily life and always be by your side.

Kasumi Fujimura's works are striking for their contrasting beauty: pristine white "tableware" and bronze-colored "tableware." The white "tableware" is created with the desire to "match any dish," featuring a simple yet elegant design that enhances the food. The bronze plates, on the other hand, were born from a request from a local izakaya, and their tasteful color makes them appealing for everyday use.

Common to both series is Kasumi Fujimura's warm wish for people to embrace her creations and use them freely in their daily lives.
