Characteristics of Kasumi Fujimura's works

Kasumi Fujimura, a ceramist based in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture,

creates her works with the desire that they be used often in daily life, as vessels that are always close at hand.

Her works feature a striking contrast between pure white and bronze-colored vessels. The white vessels are created with the aim of being "suitable for any dish," featuring a simple yet elegant design that enhances the food. On the other hand, the bronze plates were born from a request from a local izakaya, offering an appealing, rustic color suitable for everyday use.

Common to both series is Kasumi Fujimura's warm desire for users to "embrace them in their daily lives and use them without hesitation."
