Artist Yutaro Yamada - Modern Teapots Utilizing Tokoname Ware Characteristics

Born in 1982 in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, a region known since ancient times for its teapots. His family business is also ceramics. In 2010, he graduated from Tokoname High School's Ceramic Arts Department. In 2014, he studied architecture at Daido University, moving away from ceramics. After a period of employment, he soon returned to the world of ceramics. In 2017, he completed his studies at the Tokoname Ceramic Arts Research Institute. At the same time, he became independent as an artist of tea ceremony utensils, such as teapots, separate from his family business.
